~~ CHERYL BUSHEY ~~
Cheryl is a published writer, magazine model, and award winning dancer and choreographer. She has been training and performing in many forms of dance for over twenty years and has spent years studying movement and dance theory. Cheryl has continued her training to specialize in the Egyptian style of dance by studying with many of the best dancers in Egypt. She has incorporated the graceful movements and unique staging of ballet into this in-depth study of Egyptian movement, culminating in the innovative and graceful styling that makes her a popular performer across the United States and beyond.
Cheryl is the owner of Tribal Rhythm Dance Studio where she teaches classes that include traditional Egyptian bellydance, Egyptian Folkloric dance, and Tribal fusion dance styles along with her popular Bellydance Fitness program. She is also the director of the Tribal Rhythm and Bastet Dance Troupes. She has over a decade of experience in the fitness field and combines this knowledge with years of dance to provide students with training in the physiological and artistic sides of dance. Her classes range in level from beginner to professional, which include her award winning choreography and personal coaching. In addition to her regular schedule she teaches her popular dance theory, choreography, and body awareness curriculum at workshops across the country and internationally. Her exciting teaching style along with her personal attention to students makes her workshops not only informative, but also fun. Cheryl’s love for the dance and excitement about sharing it keeps her in constant motion, always exploring new areas of oriental dance and rediscovering its roots.
Cheryl performs Egyptian Bellydance every other Friday at It’s Greek to Me restaurant beginning at 7:30 PM. It’s a fun night of dinner and dancing and a great opportunity to see Cheryl perform!

~~ JOHN COMPTON ~~
The eyes – brilliant and blue. The gaze – captivating and mysterious. Poise, grace, hypnotic movement and many years of discipline create the mystique, the magic that is John. John Compton is America’s first dancer in the “Khawal” genre since the Chicago World’s Fair of 1893. John’s years of dance experience, a dynamic style and genuinely warm personality make him a superb instructor as well as a truly exciting performer. His amazing track record of major shows, night clubs, media appearances and workshops extends through the U.S. and Canada. He initially studied under the legendary Jamilia Salimpour and received additional training in the folkloric style from Patti Farber. He first performed as a featured soloist in Jamila Salimpour’s Bal Anat in the early 1970’s, then in Patti Farber’s folk dance ensemble, Baba Ganooj. In 1976 he formed his own show, Kos-Kadas, the opening extravaganza for the King Tut exhibit at the De Young Museum in San Francisco.
